Samsung is working on a Galaxy S5 Mini.
If the Galaxy S5’s 5.11-inch screen is too large for your liking, you’ll be glad to hear that Samsung is currently working on a Galaxy S5 Mini — at least that’s the rumor currently circulating throughout the web.

Samsung is known for creating multiple variations of Galaxy smartphones and devices. Take the Galaxy S4, for instance. The South Korean-based consumer electronics company released a Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S4 Active (water-resistant model), and a smaller and more affordable Galaxy S4 Mini.
Since the Galaxy S5 is already made with water-resistant materials and technology, it’s highly unlikely Samsung will release a Zoom version. However, there’s strong evidence suggesting a Mini version of the Galaxy S5 is on the horizon.
A user agent profile (UAP) for an unknown Samsung Galaxy S5 model was spotted on the company’s servers. The device in question was SM-G750A, which indicates an Mini version of the Galaxy S5 being available on AT&T (the A is believed to represent AT&T). If Samsung takes the same approach to the Galaxy S5 as they did the S4, though, it will likely be released on several of the nation’s top carriers, including Verizon Wireless.
Following this discovery, several tech gurus and smartphone enthusiast began to perform some investigative research to determine the exact specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. Although everything is still speculation as this point, some of the rumors suggest the Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a 1280 x 720 display, 2.3 GHz Qualcomm processor, and it will run 4.3 Jellybean Android. Of course, it will also be smaller than the 5.11-inch Galaxy S5 (we don’t know how much smaller, though).
You might be wondering why Samsung would even attempt to manufacture a miniature version of the Galaxy S5. After all, one of the key selling points of their flagship smartphone is the large size. Well, Samsung is likely trying to appeal to a more frugal demographic. The previous Galaxy S4 Mini was prices significantly lower than the full-sized Galaxy S4, offering consumers a way to get their hands on the Galaxy S4 without paying full price.
T-Mobile pre-orders for the original size Galaxy S5 are expected to begin on March 24th, while sales of Samsung’s latest flagship will go live the following month on April 11th.
